December 18, 2006 : Nineteen property owners
responded to the recent mail in poll regarding support for a new water
system at a cost of $780. per annum. Of the nineteen respondents, 16 were
in favour of proceeding and 3 were against. As a result the Regional
District will proceed and apply for infrastructure funding. At a recent board meeting the board voted to make this project the highest priority 'green' project in the regional district in regards to applying for infrastructure funding from the Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund. The board also voted to contribute $254,000 from the regional Community Works Fund to this project. Things are progressing.
